Most have a time limit on it but if it has not been used or in use you can change it check the TOS of the web site.

Equal justice for All The law works but the system needs changed, We all abide by the law but sometime it failes us. The same with the goverment. God bless the USA, Brign our troops HOME safely, To the men who did not get the credit they deserve, MAY GOD WATCH OVER OUR SERVICE MEN.

Settings, Expressions, lets you add a name to some of the expressions like "You've got mail". You can change the name or remove it.

How do I reuse a screen name that I deleted?

When the user name is first selected during registration it is saved in the database permanently even you delete account or never use it. You can't delete it from database so this message will appear always. Just mail to site admin, they can change only.you can't.
