Sciatica pain that goes away immediately upon sitting or laying down??

My Sciatica pain just started as a dull ache in my lower right buttocks area and, upon standing or walking, quickly escalates in intensity and travels down my entire leg. However, upon sitting or laying down, the pain is almost immediately is gone. I have talked to many others who have have experienced Sciatica pain and all have stated that sitting or laying down did not bring immediate relief. Has anyone else "out there" with Sciatica pain experienced this symptom.
