I had that problem several months ago, and found that a folder entitled My Scans was listed in My documents, and the scans had all gone into that folder.

Look in My Documents/My Scans.

Some scanners allow you to give a specific name to each scan or set of scans. Simply select Scan to file and enter a file name.

Hello. Both of the above answers are good advice. When I used to scan film, photos, etc., I would always do a "Save As". At the beginning of the scan session, I would create a file on the desktop, called "Scans, project name, and date". I would then save all the new scans to this file. It saves a few clicks of the mouse and it's also easier to verify the correct number of scans done and saved, matches. From the desktop, you can then move the folder where ever you save your images. Hope this helps,

Book Scanning

Its good for many, used a source because they do Book scanning and conversions for publishers like Reader's Digest, McGraw-Hill, Macmillan, others who demand very high quality and quick deliveries. It may be an alternative that can fill the vaccum. Check it out http://www.converttoword.com/

CT scan

It simply means the radiation tech saw what they thought might be an old scar or maybe some surgical clips. Maybe just a shadow they could not interpret. Probably nothing. That is why scan is read by a Radiologist not a tech.
