A very long story of which I will keep short. My husband and I who have lived in Spain for 8 years have been victim of a scam involving 2 lawyers, Notary, and developer we sold our Villa in2005 as it had planning permission for 30 apartments and through I of the lawyers who had power of Attorney we only received 10% of the value, the lawyer signed it all over to the developer, we have lost just under 2 million euro's.  If any one can give us any advice, as are now out of money we are both in our sixty's and have worked hard all our life to retire to Spain.  Thanks for reading this.
