Actually, Nahuatle is a native language that predates Spanish by centuries, and is still spoken in central Mexico. I mean, they weren't mute before the Spaniards invaded. They did talk and have a very advanced civilization and all. I could find no reference to the word for shy. It's possible they don't have one.

If a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, then that makes me a burning truck filled with TNT hurtling through a rocket fuel depot.
