Saved mail (pfc) too large (2GB) cannot open it and New Mail won't display

Hello,I use AOL 9.0 Optimized and have for years. My mail settings save all the mail I receive and send. That was fine a few years ago before I started receiving tons of emails. I do delete (or send to the spam folder) the ones I don't want, but now there are so many that none of my mail folders in my PFC are displayed, and sometimes even my new mail will not display (just the icons without the text information shows occasionally.I've uninstalled and reinstalled both my version and others (9.0 VR, 9.5) and none of them can open my screen name pfc so that I can delete a bunch of those saved emails. There are programs that open an AOL pfc, but the file is 2GB, and too large for even those to handle. I just want to open it so that I can reduce it to only the mail I wish to keep. Please tell me what I can do to fix that. Thank you.
