What makes a dish mircowave and dishwasher safe?

Answers

For a dish to be microwave and dishwasher safe, it must be made of materials that will not degrade or combust under high heat conditions.  In addition, the materials should not release any harmful chemical into the food being heated.

Unless a dish has markings on the bottom that specify Microwave or Dishwasher Safe, it would be unwise to use them.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.
