Discuss Formula9780's answer to: How big was the Roman Empire?

It was pretty big when it was at its largest.  It covered Western and Southeastern Europe including the southern part of Britain, North Africa, and part of the Middle East.  It depends on what timeframe you look at though.  It eventually got so big it split into an Western Roman Empire and an Eastern Roman Empire with two emperors.
