You tell them nothing! Most if they asked me I would offer .... I was  indisposed for a certain time frame due to personal constraints. beyond that I would just say I would rather not discuss it.

You may never be ill another day in your life, but you will look as though you would be a good candiate by an omission of years of disabilty due to unwellness.
