Repercussions of lack of sunlight and Vitamin D foods

What are the main physical and mental health concerns due to lack of sunlight or fresh air for several months? Many inmates and long-term hospitalized never see the sun, and most incarcerated also never see dairy products, fresh fruit or veggies. I know skin diseases and mental deterioration are rampant in many jails- what are other health and mental problems?

Vitamin d is a cofactor for bone health and the lack of it or very small amounts leads to a deficiency state.Simple daily suplements nowdays raised to 800 units daily particularly in kids will assure bone health.Mind this important issue;vitam d is not only bebeficial for bone but it does have benefits in many organs of the body including the inmune system,brain,etc.

Caution,to much  intake of vit d, like daily intake of 2000 to 50000 units (that is fifty thousands) can be bad for it increases your blood calcium level.
