Repairing old pocket doors

I have a pair of pocket doors leading into the dining room they are top mounted installed around 1885 and sujjection on how to keep on track without tearing out the wall?

Can you give us some idea of what is wrong with the doors?  Do they keep falling off the track or is the track coming loose or is it something else?

If they are falling off the track does it happen at a certain point always or is it random where it falls off.

If you can send a picture or 2 of the problem areas that would be a great help.

Is that a typo... they were installed aroung 1885?? If that's correct, I would say the track is probably wore out.

You could replace them with a pair of french swinging doors. You would need to add studs to the wall in order to have something to attach the new doors to.
