Im sorry to be the one that has to express concern in this way but I wouldnt like myself if I didnt. Dont be alarmed by this, because it is not serious. Ive never heard of fleas in human hair. My concern is that if they are in the hair they may be doing the same thing they do with dogs, which is eating the flesh. And to put this politely, that situation can create a medical condition in dogs that is not not pleasant for them. I would suggest getting rid of the pet, to start with. I would probably fog the house, wash everything. You can buy A product called Nix. It is a lice but has the same active ingredient as flea shampoo for dogs. These are just my suggestions.

thanks for the advice.  I feel quite certain these are fleas.  She has been itching her head.  Although they are tiny, jumpy, quick little guys, I still saw a few.  I will try Nix.  thanks again

Its me again.  It turns out you were right about it not being fleas.  Lice are the culprits, so now I am going all out Rambo style to kill these lousy louses. Thanks again for trying to help me.
