Don't cover up one smell with another. Get some activated charcoal. Put it in a perforated bag and then put that bag inside a larger (non-perforated) plastic bag and add the jewelry to the larger bag. Seal the bag and keep it like that for about a week. The activated charcoal should remove the smoke smell by then but if it hasn't, you can let it sit a few days more until it does.

Let the jewelry soak for a few minutes in some good jewelry cleaner.  You can buy a jar at any jewelry store.  Then rinse under warm water and pat dry.  Even fine diamonds and gold can be cleaned with this.  Then you can wear your jewelry the same day instead of putting it in bags with charcoal and swinging it over your head.

What does 18kpg mean on jewelry?

It probably means: 18 karat pure gold .. but this is sort of an oxymoron as anything 18 karat gold is only 2/3 pure gold and 1/3 something else. More than likely it refers to the metal being solid 18 karat gold and not just 18 karat gold plated (or gold filled; same thing) Something that is gold ...
