./...The Bible has been ' Canonized " by many faiths , most notably the Catholic Chirch. As you probably know, they included some books than what is in the Non- Catholic Bibles. What is most important is that the Old and New testaments have a continuous theme from Genesis to Revelation and there are no contradictions , although some would argue. Whatever the contradictions would be pertaining to the Laws and the Ten Commandments and the belief by some that Jesus can't forgive you once and for all of your sin.
I have read all of the so called "lost books" of the Bible and there are some interesting books that have very interesting information within.
But as i said before, the Bible is complete enough to understand the New Covenant as pertaining to Jesus Christ overcoming for us the original Sin and the breaking of the Ten Commandments by His Atonement for our sin.
If you just read the Gospel of John, you would have a solid understanding of the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. But, we have many sources and the Harmony of the other three Gospels. Not to mention, the Epistles of Paul, Peter, John, James and so on.
The Prophets of the Old and New Testament are allingned perfectly with one another and in the book of Daniel , for instance, you can make many comparitive themes and even names such as the Gog and Magog war with the nations coming against Israel in the latter days.
In Ezekiel's Prophecies,we get much of the same information as well as Jeremiah, the Psalms, Isaiah and so forth. Jesus used these very prophecies to help His followers to better understand that GOD has everything foretold through prophecies and Matthew 24 is another great example.
In conclusion, I believe that we have plenty of information to understand the Bible and the greater maessage. Of course the interpretation is and has been a matter of debate since there was a written scroll and especially the prophecies and matters such as the Rapture of the believers at the end times. I personally do not believe that the "Church" will be raptured and I have strudied this for fourty years. I believe in Salvation and Resurrection of the believer and I also believe that the believer is "called out" by Jesus and HIS Spirit enlightens the one receiving to know Him and then believe by the Faith He gives us to have understanding through HIS Spirit.
I sincerely hope that this helps to answer your question. Thank You and May God Bless you and keep You! Joe Guest
Dear Joe;
Sorry I took so long to respond. We have a habit of going around in circles, as per the Exodus But, G-d willing, we get there eventually.
Thank you for your support. G-d has it in hand, but us humans can always use the backup.
Shalom;
Yechiel
