This concept cannot be understood. Newton said such things should not be objects of belief. We all know what a son is. The trinity is a false religious belief, contrary to Jesus' teachings. Praying to a trinity is the same as bowing to any false image. Jesus worshipped God, he did not say he was God.
read the bible again I think you missed the point about God being manifested in the flesh and Jesus saying that "I and the Father are one" He never stopped being God even in the flesh.
Take that verse in context. I do not need to read the Bible again with all due respect to see that. Jesus goes on to say that he wants his followers to be one just like he is one with the father. There is no trinity or anything like it there and a young person can easily see that.
The entire teaching about the ransom shows clearly the price to be paid is not God dying. You will never be able to take a man made idea and try to reconcile it with the Bible. It always ends in contradiction and confusion, because the ideas are false.
Did you see the article on the Fox news site where it shows there are a number of countries that religion is disappearing? Teachings that don't make sense, churches meddling in politics, and their bad behavoir is to blame. In the middle ages, the churches could impose their beliefs on the general popuation, but that is not longer the case. Because of that, hell fire, the Trinity, and the like, being beyond reason, are not only false teachings, but impossible to explain to honest hearted truth seekers.
Most of the time, people advocating these teaching follow up their statements with vile name calling, threats, and hate. Not an indication that holy spirit is behind them.
