The first verses in both the Gospel of Luke and in the Book of Acts (both books which were written by Luke) mention a mysterious personage named “Theophilus.”
If this Theophilus was a real person, we don't have any more information about him, either from Scripture or from secular records of the time.
However, if the individual's name was made from the two Greek words meaning "God" (theos) and "love" (philia), this would also answer your question.
It was the love that God showed toward Luke (either through Paul or through one of Paul's friends) that inspired Luke to pen two volumes of biography and history — books which later came to be included in the canon of the New Testament.
