I don't think you even have to get married in a church, but even if those of your religion look down on you afterwards, what's most important is what you feel...what you believe...not what others do. The man you're with will probably have the same problems you will when you get married, but you'll be bonded legally and it will be final. No one says you'll be cursed for eternity if you don't convert, and some people just take religion waaaayyyy too seriously. I believe in God and am Catholic as well but I don't try to incorporate the Bible into every little detail of life. Remember that the Bible (as much as people deny it) was written by human hands, with both the political views and prejudices of those times.
