How long should we "live and let live,?"

Forever.  Most of us have enough to do to take care of ourselves.  Let the others live out their own lives without our intervention.  Either God is in charge or He is not.  I think He is.

You are responsible for more than yourself. To live and let live has a nice ring to it, but that is all there is about it. You have realities, responsibilities to others. To your children on how they learn. To the safety of others. To moral codes that you adhere to. To many that you say, live and let live are the same as those who will kill you, or steal from you the first chance they get if they have the motive and opportunity. For money or for power. History repeats itself over and over. There are codes to live by and it goes much further than yourself. Yes God is in charge and he told us what we must do. Conduct for all must be enforced by all. Of course, that is if you believe in God. Otherwise that means nothing. Live and let live ? That is a nice jingle, or nursery rime and that is all it is.

Nice insight MikeC. Should we let our children live and let live or do we show them the way to live and let live, as our Lord and Savior has done?  “I AM THE WAY”

MikeC

Thanks jameslee, I have no choice, I am obligated to show them the way. I am also obligated to help show them the importance of prioritizing the most important parts of life. You know all about "I AM THE WAY" at least the primary principles of the one who said it. Somehow, Jesus comes to mind.   Do you think I have the right Guy ?
