Which religion should I convert to?
On the subject of Spiritual Freedom.....
FR: It IS the most difficult thing, to show the ego veiled mind that it is trapped and not free at all. Having fallen under the influence of the 'false' ego one is (spiritually) sound asleep, caught up in the dream of imperfection, limitation, and separation.
It is for this reason, and not the attainment of Heaven, that The Grace Bestower manifests on this physical plane... for those who are ready to Awaken. Not all are at any given time.
~
It is helpful to consider... that one does not seek Grace to become FREE.. simply because until that Divine Moment of SELF Realization we have no idea that we were NOT free.... so yes, the 'false' ego THINKS Jesus is about Heaven...because that 'false' ego has no intention of "Dying", but The Grace Bestower's main job is all about the 'one True Death'... the death of that 'false' ego, which keeps us imprisoned.. for lifetime after lifetime... since physical death is NOT our "True Death".
.
Jesus' intention, as a Grace Bestower, was to totally annihilate that 'false' ego. THIS annihilation of the 'false' ego and NOT physical death is the "One True Death" that Jesus spoke of.... and went through Himself long before His physical form ever touched a cross.
Grace is about setting one free of that 'false' ego that keeps us imprisoned... unable to REALIZE one's True SELF.

Dear Friends;
Christianity teaches a way to and for peace. I would love to see more examples of this here. If those who are busy throwing spiritual rocks at each other would pulse, they may experience a peace they have not known before.
GBY all and each one.
Shalom;
Yechiel

Yes, Christianity teaches a way to and for peace through believing in Jesus Christ.
When we do teach Christianity, (Jesus Christ is God our Lord God and savior, what spiritual rocks do you throw at Jesus?
Well...there is what the veiled mind THINKS Jesus meant, and then there is THAT which Jesus actually meant.

Which State we are able to "hear" from , ( the ego veiled state of mind OR the Transcendent state which is FREE of the 'false' ego) will greatly influence what one is able to comprehend.
I am always amused by those who quote scripture.... where Jesus said ~ There will be those who SAY they know me... but they do not KNOW Me. ~ and then automatically assume that Jesus was NOT speaking to THEM.
What hubris that 'false' ego has ... what control it holds over the unawakened mind.
On the subject of Spiritual Freedom.
New Agers confuse the Creator with His creation and think that God is part of creation, not separate from it. They borrow from Eastern religions the belief in monism -- that "all is One" -- only one essence in the universe, everyone and everything being a part of that essence. Everything is a different form of that essence (energy, consciousness, power, love, force). But the belief in monism is really Hinduistic pantheism (all is God). New Agers view God as an impersonal life force, consciousness, or energy. They believe that every person and thing is evolving spiritually to the state of "the Christ" being), and use Luke 17:21 ("the kingdom of God is within you") to support this idea (despite the fact that "within you" in this passage means "in your midst"). They claim every human has a divine spark within him because of being part of the divine essence. The state of God is called by various terms among different New Age groups, i.e., God-consciousness, Universal Love, Self-Realization, the I AM, the is-ness, the oneness etc. New Agers are obviously part of a religion of idolatry and self-worship. [HJB] The New Age Movement professes a broad-minded openness to all religions, but its basic underlying philosophy represents a carefully calculated undermining of Judeo-Christian beliefs with various combinations of gnosticism and occultism. [Gnosticism is an ancient world-view stating that Divine essence is the only true or highest reality, and that the unconscious Self of man is actually this essence. It is through intuitional discovery, "visionary experience or initiation into secret doctrine" (not the plenary revelation of propositional truth in the Bible), that man becomes conscious of this true Self , p. 506; New Bible Dictionary, J.D. Douglas, ed., pp. 473-474).] It bears a remarkable resemblance to the apostate world religion that H.G. Wells claimed as his own and predicted would one day take over the world.The New Age Movement fits the description of the Antichrist's religion -- a rejection of the Judeo-Christian God and the declaration that Self is God. A major idea in New Age thinking is that of the "Christ Consciousness." In other words, Christ is an office rather than an individual, such as Jesus, whom Christians know to be THE CHRIST. This idea of "Christ Consciousness" asserts that Jesus was not the only Christ, but that He equipped Himself to receive the "Christ Consciousness"This is an old occult Gnostic teaching which stems from the ancient Babylonian mystery religions. New Agers believe that Jesus received the Christ Consciousness at His baptism, and that it left Him at His crucifixion. There is no place for the concept of sin in the New Age. There can be no sin because there is no transcendent God to rebel against. There are no rules or absolute moral imperatives. New Agers have a "New Thought" view of sin, which knows nothing of a representative man (Adam) by whose sin all men sinned. Nor does New Thought teach that there is any original sin, but that man's true essence is divine and perfect. Indeed, it finds nothing which is of the nature of sin. Instead, it speaks of "troublesome desires" which appear to be natural human impulses which direct men from consciousness to their identity with God, and, therefore, are troublesome but hardly sinful. Since New Agers believe that each person is god, thereby having endless potential for self-improvement, sin is denied as the Bible defines it (man being inherently sinful and utterly depraved -- Rom. 5:12). Sin is merely ignorance of one's "inner divinity." Because sin does not exist, there is no need for repentance or forgiveness, and Jesus did not die for our sins. They think that any perceived lack that man might have is merely a lack of enlightenment, thereby eliminating the need of salvation or a Savior. [In fact, salvation is not even an issue for New Agers. The soul is part of the universe and never dies. It is reborn or reincarnated in different physical bodies in a succession of future lives. The good or bad "karma" earned in the present lifetime determines one's subsequent incarnation. Humans should seek to progress to higher states of consciousness and higher planes of existence. There are many different paths to the goal of spiritual perfection. No one path is the only correct path. The assumed cycle of reincarnation and karma presupposes a salvation by works, contrary to the principle of salvation by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Eph. 2:8-9).]
New Agers make contact with the kingdom of darkness. Calling a medium a “channeler” and a demon a “spirit guide” has not changed the reality of what they are.
This is the kingdom of darkness of which Satan is the head, who asked Eve, “Has God said?” Those involved in this kind of activity are in contact with a world that is totally opposed to the biblical God revealed to us in Jesus Christ who defeated Satan in His life (Matthew 4:1-11) and then through His death and bodily resurrection (Colossians 2:15; Hebrews 2:14-18).
The New Age movement is a counterfeit that appeals to the minds of individuals leading them to think that that they are God and can enhance their lives through their own person. If this is thought through, it becomes quickly apparent that this is impossible.We are born, grow up, live a while on Planet Earth and die. Humans are finite. We can never be God. We need someone greater than us yet like us who can provide us forgiveness and life eternal.Only One has filled this description, the God-man, Jesus Christ.
Through His death and bodily resurrection, He has won for us what we desperately need—forgiveness before God and the guarantee of purpose and meaning in this life with life beyond the grave. Don’t miss out on who Jesus Christ is and what He has done for you. Read John 3 in the Bible. Ask Christ to be your Savior. Your life will be transformed, and you will know who you are, why you are here, and where you are going.
The concepts of the New Age Movement are not new - they are basedon ancient erroneous beliefs about God, man and the world. The Movement is to be commended for its spiritual concern, but it has turned away from the true God to gods of the spirit world. As Paul said of the Jewish leaders of his day, "They have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge" (Romans 10:2).
Any believer who is tempted to delve into the teachings of the New Age Movement needs to heed the warnings of the Bible (see Deut. 13:1-3; 18:9-12). God has given us His completed revelation, so we have no need to seek further information through the spirit world. Our need is to know the clear teachings of the Bible better.
Believers should be concerned about world peace, the environment, humane treatment of animals and reaching our full potential in Christ. Our concern should not be based, however, on the theology of Eastern religions - believing that all these things are part of the One, or the impersonal Force. Above all, we should not be naive when we hear someone mention the terms "God" and "Christ. When the New Agers use these terms, they are not talking about the God and the Christ of the Bible.
Let us love those who have gone after other gods. Let us live before them as dynamic, caring Christians so they will see that Christianity is more than a creed; it is life - eternal life. And let us be faithful in gently, but firmly, persuading them to turn to the Christ of the Bible who has paid the penalty for their sins. Let us pray that they will trust in Him as Saviour and be delivered from the hopelessness of their man-centred, pantheistic religion.
New Agers do not speak of a source of authority. If such is referred to, it is not an external authority but an internal one. In the New Age Movement, the individual is considered to be the standard of truth. New Age proponent Shirley MacLaine reveals the supposed power of the individual when commenting, "It's all my dream. I'm making all of it happen -- good and bad -- and I have the choice of how I'll relate to it and what I'll do about it."
MacLaine goes on to say, "Perhaps everyone has his own truth, and truth as an objective reality simply does not exist."The Scriptures, on the other hand, present objective truths.
They are inspired (literally, "God-breathed"); therefore, they can be fully relied on.The fact of the inspiration of the Scriptures is seen in 2 Timothy 3:16: "All Scripture is inspired by God, and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training irighteousness. The method of inspiration is seen in 2 Peter 1:21: "No prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God."The extent of inspiration is seen in Matthew 5:18: "For truly I say to you," said the Lord Jesus Christ, "until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass away from the Law, until all is accomplished."So no individual is left to himself and his inner feelings as final authority; the Bible serves as this objective standard.
To AC... Might I suggest that you comprehend Jesus right now only through the veiled subjective mind of man... and currently lack the necessary Grace to "hear" God's words from "God's" own perspective....which is FREE of the distorting ego. Without the essential GraCE Awakening you will NEVER Realize that there is only the ONE Christ and that we are ALL THAT ONE.
Faith I think your perspective is flawed. Because Christ may be involved with us on a spiritual level, does not mean we are one with Him on His spiritual plain or if you prefer, his essence or at same level. That cannot happen ! Christ in spiritually involved with us as a guide, a mentor, a sub conches help to us. We still have choices to make, decisions to overcome. Acceptance of who He is and why he died for us. The physical presents of Christ was not just another human with the will of God. Christ was one with the Word, special and very much above the rest of us. The second coming is not going to be all of us, the living and the dead showing up at our front door all at the same time. It will be uniquely God/Christ with the glory of his angles. Each has separate spiritual entities, each with there own uniqueness just as all of us are unique. I don’t believe we will be as one with the Father, rather those that are excepted will be of the same admiring family of God. There is no ego in this by God, only acceptance as a Father. The reality that we chose correctly, that there is a creator, and we made the right choice. Our free will !
