Discuss MikeC's answer to: Best Religion

Which religion should I convert to?

Njoy I think the concept of Jesus the Christ completely evades you. You want to make him relevant to the way you think he would be compared to your own life experiences. This is far from the truth. When Jesus was twelve, he was teaching the scholars of God in his fathers house in the temple. There is no way you can relate to Jesus in thought or experiences. His body was human but his thoughts where one with God. Can Christ read your thoughts, absolutely, can you read his thoughts, absolutely not ! Can you hear him speaking to you ? Absolutely, when you listen. AC is right when he tells you Jesus was at the beginning of creation, before Adam or Mosses. The first objective of God when it came to the Messiah was to physically infiltrate our humanity without involving fear, kingliness, royalty, a ruler per say. God came hear to serve, to teach, in such a way that all choices our stile ours freely. We can go to Him freely without fear. From the very point of the intercession with Mary, God in proportion, to the physical body of Jesus, administered his thoughts threw Jesus. Minute to minute, hour to hour, day by day. Humanity only saw another man being raised. (What a glorious concept) The mind of God was in the mind of Jesus acting in unity with Gods thoughts, remembering as God remembers and acting by the will of God. So yes, Jesus being in the mind of God was at the beginning. Now for the physical attributes of Jesus. Well, I am only using the term DNA because it is the best thing I can relate to. If any part of God was introduced into Mary, Gods DNA per say, then in fact, the physical presents of Jesus was also around from the beginning.

Nothing is as it seem's.

God is to every man/woman what that man/woman thinks God is. This is true regardless of my concept or anyone else’s. The Old Testament is riddled with the description of the Christ. The New Testament is an up close real life historical experience with Jesus the Christ, and another source for depicting the aspects of Christ. Your version or concept of Jesus the Christ is not wrong regardless of what it may be if one is being honest with themselves, whether you believe Him to be the Savior or not. We are all growing in our concept of Jesus the Christ rather believer or not, as for the Christian it is our seeking after righteousness that is our transformation into the Christ. We see Him as we see Him, but we are all on the rise and with our emergent’s we are being transformed.

Jameslee     I always attack the root of a problem. How we perceive the birth of Christ is at the very root. If we do not understand the foundation of Christ, we do not understand Christ. There can be nothing that is strong without a good foundation.    The seed on the rock or the same seed in good soil.

I agree MikeC.  Yet we are all still growing, regardless if we know the truth or not.  Giving your view is presenting the truth as you see it, and it will be considered by anyone reading.  Attack is the key word.

Jameslee     I know I come across hard some times. I am not out to hurt anyone personally but sometimes it comes across that way. When it comes to the birth of Christ, there can not be any other translation when it comes to the virgin birth. If this pretext does not come across strong and with authority, everything that comes after it is weak with no substance behind it. Just as you came across strong with Yechiel, and I understand your point, and it was a good one. First and foremost for a person that calls themselfs Christians has to understand the very essence of the virgin birth otherwise all will be lost in a jumble of what ifs and if only’s. Sorry if I come across to hard, but on this principle there can be no compromises or relenting, otherwise all else fails. GBY MikeC

Nothing wrong with speaking with authority when speaking with absolute truth like Jesus did. As it stands we speak with conviction and this shows how strong we feel about certain issues. I’m all for it. You are aware of yourself and that means the good and the bad, keep sight of that and I don’t think you will be hurting anyone intentionally. But here comes the but, we all need to be aware that our words have power and can hurt or be uplifting, so sometimes we need to become even more aware of what we are writing and to whom it is directed. We may be directing it at one person but in most cases can be a benefit for all. Let us keep writing and planting those seeds and there will always be someone to help water them with there thoughts.

God Bless

jamesllee, Be patient with me please, I am a hard head and I defend my friends. Christ is my friend and I do my best to defend Him. I know sometimes I get carried away and my friend may come and tell me I am doing so. Just like you have. You may think I am right or wrong, but I promise you, I only tell you the truth as I see it. I expect nothing less from you. I believe there is a reason behind all of this, I am not sure what, but there is a reason. You can say I am wrong all you want, but I do not lie. I am just wrong, But then again, I may just be right !
