Discuss n's answer to: Best Religion

Which religion should I convert to?

MikeC, to answer your question to me about Jesus: If you are meaning "does Jesus have the same value as you and I have" My instinct is to say that I cannot begin to compare myself to Jesus, so I would personally value Jesus far more than myself.

If you mean "value in the eyes of God" then my instinct says that God would value us both. But by asking it the way you are asking it, it sounds to me as if you are separating Jesus from God, and I don't see Jesus as separate from God. I don't see you or me separate from God either.

    We are God's children and we are in Him and He is in us. The more I learn, the harder it is for me to believe in the separation from God. We are always tied to God spiritually, just as any child is always tied to his mother spiritually, even though he leaves her body, he remains with her his whole life...spiritually.

     I don't think literally; materially; physically about these spiritual things. I think of Spirit spiritually and I don't judge the value of one person over the other as to who is going where and when. I am not concerned with being judged "one day" as so many are. God is with me here and now and He judges me as I move and breathe and make my daily choices. I feel His guidance, his hand on my shoulder, so to speak.

 Heaven for me is being with God and Hell for me would be separation from God.

     Christ's Presence within me, because I accepted him willingly into my heart, does not desert me in times of trouble. He is my steadfast "buddy system."

     This spiritual life of mine is the best thing that has ever happened to me, just being aware of it moment by moment. There is a warmth to it and a feeling of satisfaction and great JOY. And it does not leave me no matter how difficult the circumstances. There is absolutely no negativity in my life...none. There is no room for it.

The ones online who have decided to post negative things about me are people who despise me for various reasons. They have to live with themselves, and all I can say about them is that I am glad I am not that upset and angry with anyone. It must be awful to feel the way they do about a fellow sibling.

      I don't despise them, but I do pity them. Their words anger me often, but they seem to be very angry with me too...so...there you have it...I am at peace and I wish they could be as well.

     Value? I feel valued. Am I valued more than Jesus? Valued to whom? God? The question is too "either/or" "black/white" it seems to me. Do I value myself more than Jesus? NO! Do I consider myself the same as Jesus? NO! Am I hoping to become One with God, my heavenly Father someday? Yes... When that happens, will I then be as valuable as Jesus, I don't think there will be comparative and competitive thinking at that time, at least I hope not. I don't compare now, why would I then?

Dear Njoy;

Every human has intrinsic value with Hashem. He did not "create" us, He made "man" in His Spiritual image.

Why He seeks to bring us within His framework of moral and ethical acceptance of how we deal with His world. However, we have freewill so He allows us to do so at our pace.

Shalom;

Yechiel

Dear Njoy;

Here is what G-d is recorded to have said, in Genesis;

Gen 1:26 Then God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, after our likeness, so they may rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move on the earth.”

I have no concern what others may think or say, but I go by what G-d said.

Shalom;

Yechiel

Hi Yechiel, it is my understanding that humankind was created in the spiritual image of God, not physical.  I am sure that is your understanding as well.  It is good that you have no concern what others may think or say.  Stay strong in the Lord yechiel.

Here is what God  said:

John 8

Jesus Said, I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.

19Then said they (THE JEWS) unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered (THE JEWS) , Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also. 20These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.

21Then said Jesus again unto them,(THE JEWS)  I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.

24 Jesus Said, to (THE JEWS)I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

 Jesus saith unto them,(THE JEWS)  If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham. 40But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. 41Ye do the deeds of your father.(SATAN)

Jesus said unto them,(THE JEWS)  If God were your Father, ye would love me:

Jesus said to (THE JEWS) Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 44Ye are of your father the devil (SATAN) , and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him.And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? 47He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of GodLaughing

This person named John whom you quote was God?

Jewish believers follow G-d only.  No one else!  You quote writers of the New Test, not of the Old T.

Much of the New T writing was manipulated for a variety of reasons.  Quoting a New T writer to a friend who is of the Jewish persuasion is not Kosher.

Jesus said to (THE JEWS)

the Jews of 2,000+ yrs ago, not to this person Yechel.  You blame today's Jewish population because scripture was manipulated to make you do so.  Oh Ye of Little Faith.

 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 44Ye are of your father the devil (SATAN) , and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him.And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

Yechel proclaims his truth to you, why do you not believe him?  because you have been programmed not to.  you have been taught to hate.

47He that is of God heareth God's words:Jews hear G-d's words. ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of GodLaughing you hear what you have been programmed or taught or manipulated to hear and believe is true.  To be God's chosen does not mean that we are better than thou.  We were chosen to carry G-d's word from the mountain top to the rest of the world.  That is the reason we were chosen, because G-d trusted us.  When you speak to others with hate and anger, you are not following G-d's word to love thy neighbor as thy self.
