Discuss MikeC's answer to: Best Religion

Which religion should I convert to?

When I was in High School I remember that there where so many kids that had a lot of brains. They could memorize books, tell you the dates and the times when things happen. They always received A’s in class. Not all, but many of them did not have a lick of common sense. All my life I have dealt with these so call intellectuals that have gone no where and have done nothing and yet they brag about how smart they are. The same thing holds true with the Bible, people that think they know all the answers, have everything understood and yet they can be the biggest idiots I have ever heard and again they will not go anywhere. These type of people do not look for answers, they think they are the answer. In my opinion, they are boastful blithering idiots. No one knows all the answers. If you cannot listen, or try to understand a thought in another perspective you are not a intellect, you are a idiot ! You are not a saint but a sadist. You are not heavenly, I will let you make up your own mind on what I meant by that. It does not do you any good to know every letter of the law if you don’t understand the meaning of the law. I think you will find that in scripture as well. Of course you need to read and understand the intent. In order to understand the intent however, you need to have common sense.

Nothing is as it seem's.

Attn..Yechiel, If you were a practicing Christian, like those you work so hard to tarnish, you would not be so negative.

Come to God by believing in Jesus Christ and He shall Bless you., I love you, but do not like your adversary behavior. Adversary, in Hebrew, by the way is "satan".

The final word on this matter must belong to God the Father, for there is no higher authority in the universe. He Himself is quoted as saying to Jesus: "Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever" (Heb. 1:8).

Dear AC the Neg;

You remind me of an old saying; "Monkey see, Monkey do."

Now, enjoy your banana and leave the respectful persons alone.

Shalom;

This is what I have been saying all along.    Now you need to think of the last words of Christ before he died on the cross.  "Forgive them for they know not what they do. "    Do you think Christ changed his mind ?     It does not matter what we feel when it comes to the last judgment, we can only do what we think is right but at the same time we have to come an realize that only God can do the judging.   All are of equal importance in the eyes of God,  title means nothing.

Rocmike3 sent a message to all New Agers Directly from Hell via Archangel Michael

Rockmike3  “I learned the hard way that my countless New Age prayers to The "Is-ness", The "Oneness", The "I AM that I AM",  "HE", "IT", The "Awareness",  etc etc were really satan showing himself as an Angle of light to be God, and it really irritated God, who was apparently serious about those prohibitions on changing His word and name in the Old Testament.  And Jesus, who testified at my brief trial at the Pearly Gates, was obviously not happy that the false New Age  "Christ Consciousness." got so much more attention than He did.

So adhere to the Lord’s word, the gospel of Jesus Christ no matter how inexplicable, and avoid Hell.  It’s really . . . hot down here,Plus, I have been sodomized by demons here on an hourly basis, gotta go now.

Yechiel, Repent and turn to Christ and avoid Hell.  It’s really . . . hot down here,

A major idea in New Age thinking is that of the "Christ Consciousness." In other words, Christ is an office rather than an individual, such as Jesus, whom Christians know to be THE CHRIST. This idea of "Christ Consciousness" asserts that Jesus was not the only Christ, but that He equipped Himself to receive the "Christ Consciousness"This is an old occult Gnostic teaching which stems from the ancient Babylonian mystery religions.  New Agers believe that Jesus received the Christ Consciousness at His baptism, and that it left Him at His crucifixion.

There is no place for the concept of sin in the New Age. There can be no sin because there is no transcendent God to rebel against. There are no rules or absolute moral imperatives. New Agers have a "New Thought" view of sin, which knows nothing of a representative man (Adam) by whose sin all men sinned. Nor does New Thought teach that there is any original sin, but that man's true essence is divine and perfect. Indeed, it finds nothing which is of the nature of sin. Instead, it speaks of "troublesome desires" which appear to be natural human impulses which direct men from consciousness to their identity with God, and, therefore, are troublesome but hardly sinful. Since New Agers believe that each person is god, thereby having endless potential for self-improvement, sin is denied as the Bible defines it (man being inherently sinful and utterly depraved -- Rom. 5:12). Sin is merely ignorance of one's "inner divinity." Because sin does not exist, there is no need for repentance or forgiveness, and Jesus did not die for our sins. They think that any perceived lack that man might have is merely a lack of enlightenment, thereby eliminating the need of salvation or a Savior. [In fact, salvation is not even an issue for New Agers. The soul is part of the universe and never dies. It is reborn or reincarnated in different physical bodies in a succession of future lives. The good or bad "karma" earned in the present lifetime determines one's subsequent incarnation. Humans should seek to progress to higher states of consciousness and higher planes of existence. There are many different paths to the goal of spiritual perfection. No one path is the only correct path. The assumed cycle of reincarnation and karma presupposes a salvation by works, contrary to the principle of salvation by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Eph. 2:8-9).]

Faith

 Both common sense AND the ability to follow one's 'Heart' are important parts of understanding scripture WHEN one is 'reading' from the dualistic state ... where the mind and the intellect are involved. ... and that is the state which most read the bible, or any scripture from.

When however one is moved (by Grace) into the non-dual state... everything shifts... and I mean that literally.  Now the intellect of the 'thinking mind' is not being engaged... rather, one is tapping directly into "Source". This non-dual state may not make ANY sense to the veiled mind... and yet, once one has Transcended that finite mind... the Truth of what is revealed is instantly understoood... by EVERYONE who enters that Divine State.

 Here All differences cease to exist, the 'process' of subject /object have no meaning. There is nothing to "reason".. all is simply ... Realized.

Still, while in the dualistic state common sense is an important tool ... one too often left in the 'tool box' when it comes to religous beliefs.

 Real faith is important... in fact, it is imperative... but blind faith is dangerous. I see a lot of people with blind faith who have lost all common sense... not a pretty picture.   : (
