Discuss MikeC's answer to: Best Religion

Which religion should I convert to?

When I was in High School I remember that there where so many kids that had a lot of brains. They could memorize books, tell you the dates and the times when things happen. They always received A’s in class. Not all, but many of them did not have a lick of common sense. All my life I have dealt with these so call intellectuals that have gone no where and have done nothing and yet they brag about how smart they are. The same thing holds true with the Bible, people that think they know all the answers, have everything understood and yet they can be the biggest idiots I have ever heard and again they will not go anywhere. These type of people do not look for answers, they think they are the answer. In my opinion, they are boastful blithering idiots. No one knows all the answers. If you cannot listen, or try to understand a thought in another perspective you are not a intellect, you are a idiot ! You are not a saint but a sadist. You are not heavenly, I will let you make up your own mind on what I meant by that. It does not do you any good to know every letter of the law if you don’t understand the meaning of the law. I think you will find that in scripture as well. Of course you need to read and understand the intent. In order to understand the intent however, you need to have common sense.

Nothing is as it seem's.

Dear Mike;

Thank you for your back-up. It is common sense I seek, in how people look at our beliefs, rather than insisting that only one way to see what we have-their way.

Grammar and keeping the ideas in content together is valuable, as you and many other people are finding out, in any field. What makes for successful people, as well as strong societies.

Thank you again, Mike and GBY.

Shalom;

Yechiel

I don't see or read anywhere in Gods word where He says in order to understand the meaning of his word you need to have common sense.

I do read where God says, you Faith and belief, you need the holy Spirit through Jesus Christ to understand the meaning of Gods word

God tells us all about how He looks at you and your beliefs. Would you like me to post how God looks at Jews like you in His written word in the Bible for all to see?  Anyone can open a bible and read it for themselves, but I don't mind posting how God looks at you and your beliefs.

Common sense tell us you are not looking for a spiritual Savior, you are looking for a physical savior of this flesh world. Jesus Christ was/is the spiritual savior that God sent, the one who has already showed up once, the one who you refused to believe and hung Him on the Cross.

You are still looking for your savior to show up, your god you worship now, and he will show up, (it is written)  YOU  (the un- believing Jews) and he  will rule the flesh world for 3 and 1/2 years, he will set himself up as God in the temple for 3 and 1/2 years as God and you will believe he is the savior you have been looking for, AND HE IS, his name is "satan". After the 3 and 1/2 years THE REAL JESUS CHRIST the REAL Lord God and Savior comes back and puts you and your savior "satan" and ALL who believed and worshiped your savior (the false Christ) in the lake of fire forever.

Common sense tell us that, Anyone can read it in the Bible, and understand what is written,  HOWEVER it takes more than common sense to BELIEVE what is written, if it only took common sense to believe that truth that is written, then YOU WOULD BELIEVE IT and repent of your sin.

Common sense tells us it has been over 2000 years and you still DO NOT BELIEVE. You read and understand but you and those like you  STILL do not BELIEVE and can not BELIEVE  just with common sense.

You and those like you, will not believe until the real Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ shows up again. Then and only then will you see and believe the common sense you read is True, (EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW, EVERY MOUTH WILL CONFESS JESUS CHRISTIS GOD THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY)  as God sends your deceived butt off into the lake of fire with your false god and false savior "satan' forever and ever.

Mike is always SCREAMING do NOT judge. Here you are judging Mike as right. What then,now you can judge someone right when you think they are right, but do not judge if you think they are wrong?

Mike should be SCREAMING do not judge me. I bet he would SCREAM do not judge, if someone said he was wrong.

OK, He does not use the words "common sense", but there are many examples, as "G-d helps those who help themselves."

I Googled "godandcommonsense" and came up with many pages if links. Some deal with religious items, some with social, but all are "very interesting".

You use common sense and find the answers, and one other item; "Do unto others as you would have done onto you." try it.

Dear Friends;

I just reviewed 2367-#5/  Samuside's answer. We had a good conversation on how and why to exchange ideas, and Mike and Njoy, for two, gave some good comments. By respecting each other and listening to what each says in perspective, I think we all can benefit. I am posting to share how the Tanach, as Judaism accepts it, is accepted. Not everyone sees it the same way, as with all areas of life. Some make mistakes, but keeping an open mind, with a constructive approach to what is said, works wonders.

Have a good week, everyone. I may disagree with some of what you say, but it is not you, it is the way I see the same thing and what I have learned and accept, and live by.

Shalom;

Yechiel

anonymous   It is you that is wrong. Your intent is not to save people, it is to correct people. Your responses are not to answer questions humbly but to irritate boastfully. You are long winded and you simply do not know how to stop throwing gasolene on the fire. There does not seem to be anything that anyone can tell you without you going on a rampage. Get to the point and wait for a response. You might find it more rewarding.

Dear AC;

You have isolated yourself because of your negativity. Why? You remind me of persons who have such a low self-image of themselves, that they try to cover it up by pointing at other persons, and telling half truths or out right lies about them.

If you were a practicing Christian, like those you work so hard to tarnish, you would not be so negative. They have only raised my respect for Christianity, were-as, I refuse to let you affect me, as this would not be kosher.

Come to G-d, and He shall Bless you. As for my self, I know where my salvation comes from- it is G-d. As such, I love you, but do not like your adversary behavior. Adversary, in Hebrew, by the way is "satan".

Shalom, and may you heal.

Yechiel
