Which religion should I convert to?
Heavenboundcarol Good to hear from you. I do not consider myself as a "Born again Christian" , no disrespect intended. I have come to learn that titles sometimes do more harm than good. Titles in my opinion have a tendency to separate, divide and create a feeling of or an elusion to superior thought. Catholic, Baptist, Lutheran, Methodist, Born again, etc. I believe that no matter what title you have, no matter if people like your title or not, to me the most important thing is to seek Christ with all your heart and seek Him in honesty. I am a baptized Christian in the name of the Father, Son, and of the Holy Spirit. I know in my heart that when Christ said, " And know that I am with you always, until the end of the world." It was not just meant for the apostles. The understanding of scripture is important along with the intent of scripture. Just as Jameslee pointed out about not looking back and the surrounding scriptures, trying to put things in prospective seems to be the hardest part of scripture. For all of mankind is corruptible but at the same time all of mankind is salvageable. When we look at others that are not of the same faith or religion, the salvageable soul of others is always the first thing we need to understand. That takes patience, kindness and understanding. Not bluntness, self-righteousness and arrogance. I have learned on this thread that each person is right in there own mind. All we can hope for is to say something that may makes the other think, to dwell on a thought that someone else gives you. Something that we never thought about before. The objective is God through Christ knowing that only Christ has the authority over the individual soul and that we have no authority over the soul of others at all. We have no right to tell another where they are going, we only have the right to quote scripture as it is written. The rest is up to Christ. The primary objective is to salvage a soul, not to make an enemy out of the neighbor you are suppose to love. GBY MikeC
