Discuss MikeC's answer to: Best Religion

Which religion should I convert to?

A code of conduct is the reasons for the laws of God. I may despise what is taught, get angry, distrust and respond negatively. All that aside, the law of God/Christ states that we absolutely can not hate, project hate of another, condone, teach hate or revenge. It was posted on here that " JOHN 14:15 If you love me, keep my commandments." Not the ones you like, but all of them. I noticed how someone on here used a reading on here along with a correct interpretation, " that no man can serve two masters" even when it was brought up about money and God. I have no argument about what it meant. But I also know that Christ said to Peter, to lay down your sword, "those that live by the sword, will die by the sword" That also needs to be analyzed in a meaning far deeper than the physical sword. The sword of the tongue cuts much deeper.

I am guilty of that at times but it is not my intent to show hate. I know I said this a hundred times because it means something to me. If a man can put up with so much pain brought about by a people who hate him, then say, "forgive them" at his death. That is also something to think about. We need to ask ourselves, who am I to hate an other ? The lesson was taught by the Master above all the lessons expressed by his followers. To me, the Messiah did exactly what he had to do, show us a code of conduct, how to live and how to die.

Nothing is as it seem's.
