I'd like to respond to this. The Bible says there is a blessing for studying the book of Revelations. It is a mystery and we must dig it out, by comparing it to other scripture. We really should understand the seasons of God that we are in. We can know what season we are in by studying endtime revelation. There are so many interpretions of endtime events in the Bible. Everyone can't be right. If we are wise, we will study it for ourselves, and ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit. There is much coming on this earth that people are not aware of and will not be prepared for. Those that have spiritual understanding will be prepared. God desires that we prepare. We can be ready if we study the signs He has given us in His Word. Otherwise, we will be like the ten virgins in the Bible that didn't take oil in their lamp. They ran out of oil and when the Master came, they were not ready, because they left to buy more oil. I believe the oil is also symbolic of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We are not to allow ourselves to be weak spiritually in the endtimes, but burning with the power of the Holy Spirit. Most of the ten virgins missed their Masters coming and He shut the door on them. We can't play where endtime events are concerned. God always warns His people if they are willing to listen and prepare for what is ahead. That is just common responsibility, to prepare for bad things ahead. We can do a lot to prepare. We can prepare our heart by staying close to God. We can study His Word. We can store up things that will be needful in tough times. The Bible speaks of the ant in the book of Proverbs. It says we are to be like the ant, who prepares in the summer, for the long winter ahead. We can be as aware as we choose to be. It all depends on what our priorities are. God makes provision for us by showing us what to expect in the future. We don't have to be like an ostrich with our heads in the sand. We can be wise, always alert and ready for difficulties ahead and for the Messiah who will appear. The Bible says He is only coming for those that are looking for Him. If we are not looking for Him, the Bible says we will be left behind. It pays to be spiritually responsible to study what is ahead and prepare for it wisely. God doesn't want anyone to miss the Messiah but most will because they are not focused on living for God.
