Discuss YWN's answer to: The "religion of peace?"

You must not judge all Christians because of what a few do.  We do not condone murdering doctors because they perform abortions.  Two wrongs do not make a right.

That was exactly the point.  The initial post was slamming all Muslims for the behavior of a few.

Only with Muslims it's not just a few.

I agree with a lot of what you have said. However, we should look at the whole picture. Islam and Christianity are religions which posit certain shared doctrains. Not either one of the religioins is free of mass blood shed, and that is the point we should look at.

You are a good example of what I am trying to convey. You feel, and rightly, that there is a threat from persons of Islamic faith. So you have done what comes natural for Western persons, look at the potential for this threat to be carried out by anyone of the Islamic faith.

However, there are a majority of Muslims who are against the violence we have today.

In centuries past, Christian forces have endulged in their ability to force their way. A minority, but they were  the rulers. So many atrocities over the centuies can be laid at the feet of Christian rules/leaders, even though a majority of Christians may have opposed the violence. Still, the abuse happened.

Solution would be for the decent people of all faiths to rise up and do what we can to stop the abuse. One exsample of this is where a group of women who refused to have anything to do with their husbands, until there was peace.

I do not hate christians for what past Christian people have done, nor Muslims, for the fanatisim of a minority of their people. I dispise the evil, and pray for a day when all people shall come to our senses and find peaceful ways to deal with our issues.

YWN has done a good thing, by bringing to light the behaviors of Christians in the past. If you can recognize the fact that there is blood on all hands, then maybe we can put a stop to the bloodshed.

Lady, the point is that it is not ALL Muslims.  Get it? There are extremists in every religion.

Yes, I understand now.  And I do apolize.  I know that there are some very good muslins around.
