From the question I answer one way from the pic I don't know if I answer the right way.

Anyones' room is their private space and should be treated with respect meaning no entering without permission and no snooping into ever.

My youngest son was my only really messy child............drove his sister crazy when she passed by his room in the hallway............I simply shut the door.

That was his private space I had no business............unless suspecting foul play or harmful substances to intervene.

Well, I'm neither a girl, nor young, but for me, my 'room' is an exterior representation of my inner mind. My environment and myself. And surrounding myself with the things I love.

A girl and her room?   Hmmmmm....If she has ever had to share a room with others  and now she has one of her own, one would think she would guard it with her life.  Keep it neat as a pin...not pen(pig sty).  One would hope to find deeply personal things in a private space like that.  Her journals; pictures of favorite places and people; trinkets from trips and concerts.   But, if she has always had her room to herself and does not appreciate what a gift that is, then she may see her room as a prison and trap from which she wants to escape.   I agree with Bonestructure, if her mind is scattered, her room will be as well.  It is an extension of our inner selves whether we like to admit it or not....Surprised

In most cases a girl will decorate her room beautifully according to her likes

It is true that a person's immediate environment, their 'room', really does reflect their inner mind. Perhaps even their subconscious. I haven't made an extensive study. But I'll freely admit that my 'room' is, or at least looks, lush and luxurious, overabundantly filled with the things I love, and environment to stimulate the mind and imagination. And quite chaotic. Not to mention my teddy bear collection, and other...um...oddities. And, that actually does describe my mind. I LIKE chaos in my environment. And I know where everything is. The teddy bears? Well, anyone who knows me knows I'm just a big old silly bear. Even my ex wife calls me silly bear.
