The best way to maintain color will be to use a stain the appropriate color and renew it as needed. Don't wait so long that they become soiled before staining.

no. The initial response to varicella is the chickenpox. The vaccine is not 100% effective. I do not know the statistics regarding reactivation of the varicella virus (shingles) following an initial infection occuring after vaccination failure.
