You can recover deleted text messages from samsung rugby a837. To do this, get a card reader for your memory card and put the SD card from your Samsung Galaxy into the card reader. Then, connect it to your laptop computer and use a Samsung SMS Recovery program to be able to view the deleted files in the task window. After this, click on the ones that you want to recover.

I'd like to bump this thread.

Similarly, I have to restore lost SMS of iPhone as a new phone since my software or something is buggy. I've restored from both an iTunes and iCloud backup and still the standby and usage times are near equal (under Settings --> Usage) indicating something's running almost all the time. My last resort is to set it up as a new phone before I go in for a phone replacement. BUT I would like to keep my game save data (I'm NOT restarting 2 years worth of angry birds) and text messages, etc... music obv gets synced back from iTunes and I can reset settings, but can I get the texts and app save data back? I'm willing to "dig into files" to do this, but the links above seem to not work (I tried the one that another user tried, where you copy the .plist files and the one hex file)

It is easy to recover texe messages from Samsung phone, but now you had better use your phone as less as possible, or your data in the phone can't be recovered. And then you need to use Android data recovey software. I ever use one named Tenorshare Android Data Recovery to restore lost text messages from my Samung phone , you can have a try: http://www.card-data-recovery.com/recover-photos-videos-from-samsung-galaxy.html
