Can I make heavy whipping cream from half and half?

Answers

No, you cannot. They are two entirely different things.

You can try this substitution: One-third cup of butter plus about 3/4 cup of whole milk.

Be advised that the characteristics of this concoction are not the same as that of heavy whipping cream, so the finished product may not look and taste the same.

Your best bet is just to buy a pint of the real thing.
