Discuss ratman's answer to: How to Become a REAL wizard?

Hi i'm 13 and I love wizards of waverly places and i would like to become one. Don't tell me they aren't real because they are. They are really hard to find . I think It would be cool to have magical ...

There was a time I would have laughed at you, but not anymore.

To start with, you already do have powers. All of us do, it's learning to use them and acknowledging their presence that is an art.

You need to get yourself a staff and a wand. Not some stupid plastic rubbish or something some one else made. YOU have to make them for YOURSELF. Take your time selecting the right wood and materials. Plan your designs and think about what you want to use them for. Educate yourself on the difference between white and black magic. The use of symbols and talismans becomes important when you decide what you want to use magick for. (take note magic is parlour tricks, sleight of hand and tom foolery and magick is the tapping into a source and using its power)

As you probably know there are different types of mages, depending on their art form. You get necromancers, warlocks, shamans, witchdoctors, sorcerers, druids etc. Some use meditation, some use potions, some use spells, some use spirits, etc

My personal choice has been to follow a form of druidism. It doesn't clash with my Christian beliefs, it compliments my love for wildlife and nature and practicing it through protection of the environment is commendable and socially acceptable.

No... I can't throw fireballs or electrocute people by pointing at them, because thats not what I want my magick to achieve. Am I a stronger, healthier, more confident and happy person through my practice? Most definitely. Have I made a positive difference to the world around me? Without a doubt.

Never stop believing.

It is worse to try and then fail than to never try at all.

Cheers
