I am a witch and can say, the spells I have ever spoken where not always done in rhyme.. I think Hollywood has just glamored the craft up with their ways of writing a script.. however, I had heard with such shows as "Charmed" they had actual witches as advisors so they could stay "somewhat" close to how witches actually work.. ( i.e;casting circles, BoS, etc..)

Still here dancing with the Groogrux King...

I'm a real witch, but no real witches aren't like the witches in movies it takes longer to make a spell happen than on tv. It usually takes me a few minutes to a day. Also spells don't have to rhyme but most of mine do.  Bridget gave a good example of a tv show that is pretty close to real witches and witch craft. Oh I almost forgot we don't go around killing demons and all of that well I mean we could because their like evil spirits and I have a few spells that would send them far away (kind of like an exorcism) but not destroy them.

Did is a word of acheievment, Won't is a word of retreat, Might is a word of beravement, Can't is a word of defeat, Ought is a word of duty, Try is a word each hour, Will is a word of beauty, CAN IS A WORD OF POWER...

Hollywood has totally biased how witches are looked upon.  Hollywood renditions as as far removed generally speaking from reality as Hollywood is itself.  Spells that I do, don't generally rhyme, but they can be quite complicated because the intent has to be there.  While this is not indicative of everybody else's, I find, generally, that the more one puts into a spell, the better the results.  While generally speaking Hollywood likes to make most witches evil, with a couple of notable exceptions, the majority that I've come across are just regular people.  Most just as soon would prefer to work positively rather than negatively.  Then there is the Law of 3 which states what you send out, you get back.....

Love is the law.
