i recieved a check for 988.00 along with a letter saying i won in a consumer awards program. said to call .i did and they siad top deposit the check and win it clears call thenm back it was topay the taxes on the winnings .said they then send the money .is this legit. the place IS Called prestige brands inc.

No, this is not legit.  Do not ever send money to get money..  "Rule of thumb"

Robert i would like to know also. They are not asking for money upfront!

My wife recieved the same letter.
