Discuss natureinterest's answer to: Real estate commission laws for n.Y.S.

When co-broking between 2 agencies when is the commission split due.Since the transaction is complete and finalized at the attorney's office, isn't that when all should be paid for the service ...

The split is usually done within a day of the sale by the broker who received the commission check at the closing.  If you are dealing with a Realator in good standing you will have know problem.  The exact time for co broke payment is usually (was) listed the broker and the salesmans book you had to study when you got your New York state licanse.  If you are a salesperson, check with your Broker as how he usually gets his cut. Don't forget that if you are an agent for another broker, that they get their cut and then they give you what is normal for the office.
