according to what I here everynite they DO sound like puppies craying, some times it sounds so vicious it's pretty scary. I do not no if they are mating at this time or not, because after a few nites of this going on and on, they now have babies. Not sure how many but I do know they make quite of bit of a whirring sound like if you put your tongue on the top of your more and blow thru your mouth and whirr with your tongue. I know this as we have a family living in the tree across the street from my house
