What does the quote "The cheese walked by the river" mean?

Cheese, as a food, does not walk.  Neither does "cheese" meaning the heroin product.  Someone could be walking with it.  Cheese could be a person's nickname.  Or it could be "the big cheese" meaning the top man.

Never heard the saying

If a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, then that makes me a burning truck filled with TNT hurtling through a rocket fuel depot.
