Well, I've been on and off the puter all day now, with no problem, so I have to assume that was the problem. I was doing some rather intense graphics in Photoshop at the time. Pshop is a resource hog, so it wouldn't have much power left over to do nice warnings and stuff. No biggie, as long as nothings wrong with the puter basically. Though I was so far into what I was doing I neglected to save so I lost a little work. Nothing I can't duplicate. thanks for your answer.
