Can Qatar host the World Cup in 2022?

Are you surprised that Qatar - a small country in the Persian Gulf - will be the host of the 2022 World Cup?

In the run up to the 1998 FIFA Presidential Campaign, Herr Joseph Sepp Blatter was financed and funded by the absolute ruler of Qatar Emir Hammed bin Khalipa Al Thani. It was a very covert manner how it was done. Blatter did not have the money to back him self, but promised great kickbacks to the ones who would back him. One such man was The Emirs man, Mohammed bin Hamman a favourite of the Emir and on the FIFA cabinet. He arranged for the use of the Emir's private jet to be used by Blatter to get to many Countries very quickly and do the bribing. Lennart Johansson had to be beaten at any cost, he was too honest and open, he scared Jack Warner who had had made his millions as Vice-President and from Trinidad and his office in New York did a lot of dealing now in properties, he had come a long way from school teacher to this exalted position. He made arrangements for all the members of CONCACAF to support Blatter's second run for office. Warner was under heavy attacks for Trinidad's newspapers for family contracts he got mysteriously. Warner seeking to avoid the attacks wrote to Blatter and told him of his loyalty and support he had got for him. Blatter openly thanked him. The outcome of this all led to South Africa getting the World cup in 2010. It should have been earlier but Blatter was under pressure. Let's come forward. The Emir of Qatar spent time recently with Blatter in Paris. Where he no doubt got the usual welcomes. But he was there for a different reason! The FIFA elections are up now for grabs, and Blatter is on a tightrope. More so, the Emir thinks Qatar is now due for payback time. So it has come. This is no surprise, it was common knowledge, they would get the World Cup in 2022, so Australia, a better choice, but not bribe wise, gets nix! Blatter owes Qatar big!

Like most people, I was surprised by the choice. Putting aside politics (which is next to impossible), it will be good for the region. Also, from what I understand, after the World Cup is over they are going to take apart some of the stadiums and ship them to other countries that cannot afford to build them on their own.

Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?

As far as anyone knows, they should be perfectly capable of hosting the World Cup.  There is no reason in the world why they can't.

Sure it can be held there, and you don't think that is "Odd", but don't you wonder how many Americans will participate and how many will attend, better yet is Israel going to be let to participate, or any Jews?

This will be political and we know it, this is what happened in Germany.

Quatar has taken positive steps to reach out to the West as well as to embrace the heritage of the nations in the Middle East.   It is, to my mind, one of the most forward thinking nations in the region.   Sure, it has it's idiosyncricies, as all nations do, but it has so far shown itself to be flexible and not overly resistent to change when and as needed.

Bringing the Olympics to any nation in the world is a very expensive undertaking, and Quatar has repeatedly shown that it can afford to do so.   I think that they should be considered favorably for such consideration, along with other Middle Eastern nations such as Israel, especially because of the openness that they've shown the world in recent years.

If they can get over Islam so women athletes can play in normal sports gear instead of head to toe black cloth, then yeah, let 'em host anything thet can handle decent.  I don't know they could handle it decent.

If I was a coach I'd draw the line at a Muslim nation cause they will force everyone there to convert to Islam.  That sort of grudge is as bad an insult as the Ground Zero Mosque, and I don't think we could protect the athletes.

In 1972, Muslims kidnapped and murdered Olympic athletes cause some of 'em were Jewish.  That don't mean more than one had to be Jewish for Muslims to feel like murdering everyone in sight.  That is just what they did and there is no way they're going to improve now its too late to change.

They went on the warpath in 2001.  Its suicide attack after another until the whole world is ready to kill 'em just to get rid of the danger of Islam.  God I hope it don't come to that but the way things are working out I don't see any other way.  We're heading to a big nasty showdown and people are gonna get killed in the cross fire.

Man, having athletes in a Muslim nation would be an open invitation for kidnappers.

Muslims have businesses kidnapping people.  The Koran lets 'em do that.  While the kidnappers have them they sell the girls as whores and beat on the men with planks steady till the guy dies.  2-3 year old girls get special attention from real surly perverts.  Muslims never think twice about that.  That is how immoral these people are.

They have to do it.  It is in the Koran.  They won't go against the Koran.

No you don't have to be born in a country to play in its national team. But I don't like how some countries give citizenship like freebies just because the players are good.
