I recently purchased a new dishwasher.When they came to install, they said because I had had a new floor installed they were unable to get the old dishwasher out--only levelers in back. Their suggestion was to lift the countertop. However, the laminate countertop & backsplash is nearly 40 yrs. old. and there is a cast iron sink. I'm afraid we'll run into all kinds of problems. They said it was  better than removing a section of the floor (5yrs. old-don't have enough left over to match) =can 40 yr. old laminate & backsplash withstand raising countertop to remove dishwasher?
