Should we Pump our Oceans to the Moon?

 

Use the Moon as a reservoir and desalinate that slimy stuff and pump back fresh water to Earth and we’ll gather all the fish and move them up there too. Pick up all the gold from sunken treasure ships and build houses on spectacular Cliffside vistas.  Enough room for everyone.

Aha ha ha

Far easier to gather water and other valuable resources from the asteroid belt.

If a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, then that makes me a burning truck filled with TNT hurtling through a rocket fuel depot.

1 ) There isn't enough metal to create the kind of pipeline sufficiently large enough to do the job, and stretch from here to there.
 
2 ) The moor doesn't have sufficient mass to hold down the water. It would just blow out into space
