Hello,

I am going into 9th grade and have had 3 years of public middle school education. I have found that as long as you are friendly, people are often nicer to new kids. At lunch, try to find some kids who look nice and are about your age and ask if you can sit with them.

Drug abuse does happen in middle school but i've only knowen 5 kids in the whole school who did drugs, just keep away from them and you'll be fine. Also, your brother is just trying to scare you, i have seen blood at school but it was when this kid got hit in the face with a basketball ON ACCIDENT. Middle School is not hell and if you are open minded about it it can be fun.
