That all depends on how you were raised.  If your parents taught you to respect yourself, and to be an individual not a follower, then you shouldn't feel influenced by the media.  On the other hand a girl who has low self-esteem will do what ever it takes for attention.  I think there is way too much sexual exploitation of women.  Until these stupid girls realize that everything they do doesn't have to be about impressing a guy.  It pisses me off when i see girls making out with each other because guys think it's "hot". I'm sure these girls are very popular, but think about why they are popular.  Do you think any guy would take one of these girls home to meet mom.  Don't think so.   With the media it's all about money, morals take a back seat.  Be a leader - not a follower.

It tries to make them consumers and makes some of them immune or resistant to advertising.  It tries to get them interested in getting money and spending it, and defining themselves by what they spend it on.  If they are cynical, it tries to be cynical so it appeals to them.  

On a different level, the media have discovered that constant change attracts attention, and by presenting constant change (like of camera angles every couple of seconds) they may be damaging the ability of youth to concentrate on one thing for a while.  This may have unfortunate consequences down the line.

Say whatever you want, just as long as it doesn't keep you from seeing the way things are. And when you see that, there is much you wont say.
