Hi Donna,
Sociopath is: A person that has a problem to socialize or doesn't find a way to get along with other people.  Psychopath is a person who has a severe mental problem that has to be treated.  It is possible that being a sociopath reaults from being a psychopath.
Best regards,

Hi Donna!  OronD is right, but I just wanted to add a little something.  Sociopaths have no feelings or emotions toward other people, they are not capable of it, they only feel for themselves and their own pesonal gain and gratification.  Sociopaths can also be very cunning and can con people easily.  There is no medical or treatment for sociopathy but there are some medications that are prescribed to psychopaths.

Gee, sounds like there is more hope for the psychopaths.

I have had the missfortune to be a bit acquainted to an (extremely bright) sociopath and comedian who pretends people who look alike are actually the same. Alternatively he has them try to be or, alternatively again, he pretends they try to be like each other. These insinuations are fairly clever in the sense of their insinuatins to begin with, and the cleverness can be hidden by lousier insinuations (or lies) seeming to be their essence, which is actually smarter. People seemingly have been tricked into pretending the contexts are as absurd as the lousier lies imply. The con artist in the sociopath was by these insinuations able to pretend otheres than he were the con artists, and thus the sociopaths.

A correlatable psychopath, would not be insinuating that there should not be help for the victims. He would (if he weren't a sociopath as well) be into victimizing directly. The victim would be traumatized by the psychopaths own deeds, instead of only (or mostly if there is also a psychopath in the sociopath) those manipulated into uncaring stands about the victim.Cry
