yes its true that by changing the colour of wall affetcs the effieciency but the colour matterd for instance yellow colour gives energy. Complaince can be afftected by many factors the point which you mentioned can be true. For both of theories you need psychological evidence ti support your point.

 We are a blank page from start. From flavors, to smells. To touch, to hear. To see. We begin the slow and teadious programing of our... selves.  The method used is by choice, and design. The practicle moment-by-moment. Day-by-day. Envirnment given, and envirnment made. When familiar is changed by the interjection of the different, or strange, then a new perception and or ideal can occure which would alter one's choices, or conclsions.

Is there an actual "name" for that theory?  Research has probably been done, although it seems like it would make perfect sense.  There are lots of things we can do to change our mood.

One is the Hawthorne effect, where worker productivity improves when a change is made, perhaps because they are being studied, or given a chance to make a choice.

Motivating one's employees is not that difficult.  It merely takes sadism, terror, and threats that you can impose.  These have to be the direst of all threats.  For example:

Those who disobey the rules and do not produce must go without Vogon Poetry for two weeks. 

Those who obey the rules and really produce can go without for as long as they want.
