Why do protestants god damn atheists?

 

Most atheists have been to a christian church growing up enough to know what there like but protestants have never been to an atheist church.

 

Why don't protestants try going to an atheist church? You just might come out a better person rather than god damning others over something you know nothing about.

Edicous -- I know an atheist church does not believe in God.  That's all I need to know for not attending an atheist church. Neither do I god-damn anything, not even an atheist church.  That is using God's name in vain.

This is yet another flawed question.

Once again, I am not the Protestant Spokesman.

Atheists do not believe in GOD. Therefore, what is the reason that any of them would be upset by someone demanding that GOD damn them to a hell that they do not believe in?

If GOD chooses to damn anything or anybody, I have little to say about it. It is quite presumptuous of me to ask Him to damn someone that he has created. Even if I think that He should.

*damn has gotten to the point of being an expression of disgust or anger. I really don't think anyone actually thinks about it is a denotative sense. When I say goddam, I'm usually just pissed off. About the only time I ever use this expression directed toward other people is when I am behind the wheel.

If you would like to rephrase your question so that it has some meaning to me, I would be happy to take a shot at it.

Keep close to Nature's heart... climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.* Victims of circumstance owe it to fate. Ol'Yeddar -- You have a good point there.  Why does it bother an atheist when a person say God damn if they do not believe in God or hell.  Still, I do not use that term.

So how would you feel if you put your selves in the shoes of gays when Bush's reverend Jerry Falwell gave those hate speechs god damning gays for the 911 attack?

 

How would you feel if you put your selves in the shoes of jews when none of the chistian churchs in the US wanted them coming here when that started?

 

More to the point, how would you feel if you put your selves in your own shoes when your time comes around?
