Problems with my attorney - not returning calls and I've never met him! Court in January!

Attorney won't give me a copy of my file, 3 formal request including 2 faxes and a certified letter with conforming faxes. Over one month and I have court in January. I've never even met him and think he's farming my case out and I'm seriously injured. I'm extremely concerned something terrible is going on. What can I do?

Contact your states Bar Association and file a complaint .

If he is in a law firm ask to speak to a senior member of the firm or a partner in the firm (his boss ).

I suspect that you will be needing a new attorney. If your court date is in January, you will need to find one right away. Your new counsel should have better luck in retrieving your files.
