Am I pretty? I don't really know...people have always called me fat and ugly and boyish...except for my close friends. Can u give me an idea?

Well Sam this may sound cliche but beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder,to some you may be a beauty queen but to others not so much! I am sure you have a good heart and soul and try not to make fun of others, this is inner beauty and it is the most attractive thing about a person. I hope this helps god bless you. Chuck.

Pretty is largely defined by a particular society.

In P. Anthony's Geodyssey trilogy, there is a prophecy that says one of the characters will marry an ugly woman. He winds up marrying a woman that the primitive society that he lives in is considered beautiful. But, it turns out that she is very lazy, manipulative, and an adulteress. Hence, ugly.

Do not be conformed to societal's norms, but live your life in a fashion that is pleasing to GOD. People will see your beauty.
