Depending on where you live, and sometimes income level, there are some places that will give out free carseats. I live in Washington state. Here they will not let a new mother leave the hospital without a carseat! Alos there are some places here, such as the Fire Department and Police Department, where you can go to have the installation of your carseat checked to make sure it is in the right position and secure. If it is out of date, or not safe, they will give you one! I can't say for sure this will be in your area, but I hope this helps! Good Luck!
