It could mean that you are not pregnant. However, those home pregnancy tests have been known to be unreliable in the past... If for some reason you think you have reason to be concerend it would probably be a good idea to get tested by your doctor and know for sure. Good luck!

You either ovulated later than you thought or you're not pregnant.

Home pregnancy tests are usually very reliable, especially when you use them according to the instructions.

I would go see a doctor to find out what's going on.

Good luck,

Hi im going through the same thing.

Well today am to weeks late. I went to plan parenthood last night and took a test it came back negative. The doctor said I still may be pregnant just too early to tell. I could have ovulated later then when I thought, and to take a test next week. If that test comes back negative to most likely am not. He also said I just may have skipped a period last month and may get back to normal this month. If I don’t receive my period this month I will need to do a blood test (scary). Well I hope I am but I have a feeling Im not, but if not I will keep trying.

you might be late because of stress or you are nervous it happens to me alot sometimes periods come late

Home pregnancy tests can register as what is called a "False negative," which means that even though the test says you are not pregnant, it could be wrong.  Go to your gynecologist and get a blood test for hcG levels. This is a hormone that will appear in your blood stream if you are pregnant at least ten days, and is much more exact, if you want your proper answer.

Also, if you think you could be pregnant, or want to pregnant, start taking a vitamin called Folic Acid right away, to prevent neurological malformations and disablities in your child.

It's your future, be there healthy.

It's pretty obvious that you are NOT ready to raise a baby.  Negative means Negative OR NO--you are NOT pregnant. Now, use birth control.

We're put on earth to learn, so don't waste your time.

Wow, someone cue the common sense police because Investigator here knows the definition of NO and NOT.  I believe the poster knew what negative meant hun, what she wanted to know was why she may be late and if anyone had an explanation for the negative or anything related to it.  Oh and BELITTLING someone and attacking their potential parenting skills because they asked a QUESTION is out of line.  Show me one parent who knows everything that never asked questions and Ill give you a damn Nobel Prize.  Try being a little nicer, people dont like jackasses.

I think you could be !! Better to confirm with a blood test.Blood tests are more reliable than Urine . So Gohead and take a test,All the best
